The Illinois Central road reported
freight traffic at Chicago was mov

road had 111 switching crews and re
ported nearly normal.

of 32 years of age, who despite his
awful infliction has never lost hone
since the time of tho necident in which
his hack was broken not only hopes
to make a good living for his wife
anil child nnd himself in the wood
business, but ulso hns other plans in

feels confident lid will yet bo nblo to
walk.

Mr. Blackburn was injured two
years ago last August when he wns
operating the Jacksonville street car.

in Mcdford, nnd wns assisting the
mill men to unload tho lora when one
of them fell on him, breaking his
spine and a rib, and .inflicting other
injuries. His lifo was despaired of
for a long time afterwards, but his
indomitable pluck together with good
medical and surgical attention finally
brought him to the present stage of
being able to wheel himself around
in a ehair. He has only been able to
sit up at nil since last June and has
just been able to operate a. wheel
chair unaided for" n week or so.
