Marion Da vies' "April Follv." which
will be shown at the liberty theatre

traded unusual attention. The
theme is a most novel one, relating
how April J'oole, played by .Miss
Davies, in search of material for a
new novel, impulsively offered t
exchange placed with the daughter of
an earl who was on her way to South
Africa with a famous diamond. Pri
vate detectives and a pair of inter
national jewelry thieves are trailing
the gem. April has several thrilling
encounters on shipboard and n pretty
affair of the heart. Tho climax is
startling, but entirely satisfactory.

The rainfall In April was exactly
normal, a precipitation of 1.44
inches. However, this is the heaviest
rainfall in April for the past five
years and thanks to it jhe crops,
jjui nuiuny suriace crops, are in
excellent condition. The 1920 rainfall
deficiency remains at 4.05 Inches.
Another striking fact is there were
only three sunny days during the en
tire month, tho there were eight part
ly cloudy ones.
