zens, intensified the enthusiasm of
those present with the declaration
that so far as any of the members of
the American t'itv Hurean stuff in
Medford can remember, this city has
established a new bureau reecrd in
having signed up workers cards
twelve days before the actual inten
sive enrollment, cumpalgn'begins. The
original plan was 'to have .a total of
NO field men to make the canvass of
the city for members during the four
days beginning Tuesday, .March 23,
but Mr. llheen has explained that the
more workers in the field the greaterl
number of members will lie signed
and the general work incident to tho
canvass will he minimized.
The plan as it stands tit present is
to name two majors and ten captains
who will have teams of seven men
each under their direction. The pros
pect cards will lie arranged by dis
tricts, tho city being divided into ten
parts. The two majors who have been
named hy the executive committee
are to be Hen C. Sheldon and V. (las
ton Domergue; both have accepted
the appointment. Of the ten captains
designated, acceptances thus far have
been received from seven: John
