FREE ANALYSIS
OF CHARACTER
BY MRS. ELLIS
A highly intellectual presentation
of character anulysts wan given last
evening by Mrs. Jean Morris Ellis be
fore an audience that gave the closest
attention to the speaker's remarks.
There are hut five vt these character
analysts In Ihis country, ami Mrs.
Kills holds the distinction of being
the only one who bases her work on
the Christian principle of character
building.
She has heon in great demand by
masters of industry to help them
solve their problems of transforming
square pegs to fit round holes. She
(cited an incident where she was ask
ed by the president of a large bank
to pass dawn thru tho working force
behind the cages and draw her own
conclusions as to the men there, em
ployed. With her keen Insight of
character, she readily discerned the
one man who proved to be the one
the banker was most concerned about
and her anulysis enabled the banker
so to use him as to bring out and de
velop the best thero was in him, not
alCne for the benefit of the hanker,
but for the greatest good to the mun
himself.
As a concrete Illustration of her
method of making a character anal
ysis, she gave a brief outline of the
mental qualities as exhibited in two
of those present, much to the delight
and edification of the audience, us
well as to tho gratification of the
subjects themselves. These analyses
showed In a scientific way what those
acquainted with the Individuals were
ready to accept as u precise and perti
nent diagnosis.
There ure many ex-service men
scattered thruout the country who
have not as yet foujid themselves
since being forced to confront condi
tions awaiting them upon their re
turn to civil life. These are they
whom the educational service depart
ment of the Y. M. C. A. is seeking
after, and these are they who are
especially privileged to receive frc'm
one so unusually well fitted as Mrs.
Ellis, advice which if followed, may
turn their tide of destiny from failure
to success.
,Thru the courtesy of Dr. Henry
Hart and Mr. E. H. llurd, room 215
in the Liberty building is turned over
for consultation purposes, while room
214 will be used as a reception room
today and tomorrow- for any of. these
men. who. -may wish to. .avail them
selves of the great privilege at their
disposal.'.' No chnrga for consultation
wltt'be i'mado arid Mrs. Ellis will wel
come all. She Is to leave for Irants

OVER $100,000,000 PUT
INTO MEXICAN Oil
MEXICO CITY, Mar. 2. Figures
showing the production of petroleum
in Mexico increased 36 per cent last
year over the record of 1918, which
were made public last night at the
department of Industry and com
merce. More than $100,000,000 has
been invested recently in the oil in
dustry of this country, and it is
stated that since President Carranza
bogan issuing provisional permits to
oil men 4 5 wells have been drilled.
Dorothy Dalliin ut Liberty
A splendidly balanced bill opened
this afternoon at the Liberty theatre
for a three day engagement. Dorothy
Dalton in "The Market of Souls" is
the headllner, followed by Mack Ben
nett's latest comedy, "A Ladles' Tay
lor," and concluded with a, Para
mount magazine.
The masterly production of the
New Year's eve celebration in "The
Market of Souls" is enough to make
the picture worth seeing. The story
too, is unusual, absorbing, highly en
tertaining, and considered Miss Dal
ton's best picture since "The Flume
of the Yukon." This program will
play thru Thursday.
