LONDON It is estimated by some
woolen sninners that the Hrilish gov
ernment made 60,000,000 pounds
from the sales of Australian wool last
year and thus far in 1020. Replying
to charges that both the government
and the Yorkshire spinners had made
excessive nrofits. Sir Arthur Gold
finch, chairman of the wool council
of the ministry of munitions, told a
representative of the Kvening Stan
dard that it was true the government
was reselling merino and cross-bred
wool from Australia and New Zea
land at a price "very much higher"

strangers in our midst lately looking
for Utile suburban homes, and not a

Dr. Ilaillie of Phoenix has been in
disposed the past few days. Dr. Ilail
lie has cone into almost every home
here there has been sickness since
the (.inbreak of the epidemic of colds,
or flu, whichever it may have been,
and has probably contracted a bad
cold.
