the limestcne for the use of the paper
mill at Salem will come from south
ern Oregon, C. W. Courtney of this
city having contracted for the (iuurry-
ing und delivery aboard the cars of a
supply estimated ut':!200 tons for the
coming season. The Salem mill has
purchased the Householder lime
(juarry on Kanes creek and Courtney
is arranging for the construction of a
four mile macadam road over which
the rock will be hauled to Gold Hill
for loading on the cars.
