the scene of festivities last Saturday
evening when the ladies of the Com

tor the benefit of the club house fund
and succeeded in raising that fund
over ?."i2 by the sale of beautifully
deccratod boxes filled with appetizing
lunches. We are proud to say the
reputation of these ladies for prepar
ing lunches was very manifest when
the bidding soared as high as five
dollars on some and ,!! went for over
two dollars. Hcwcver the general
spirit of the occasion was augmented
in part by the increasing enthusiasm
over the new club house, all material
for which has now been purchased
and paid for and a neat little surplu:

seen e'mergencies. Const ruction will
lie resumed in the near future.
