the only real . issue in the campaign is that of the
personality and character of the candidate.-
.There is no issue on the tariff, none on the currency,
none on war, hoik; on prohibition, none on suffrage, none
on trusts, none on militarism, imperialism, or any of the
oilier isms.
Of course the democrats will lambast the republican
record and the republicans will lambast the democratic
record, but the people more this year than ever before are
going to vote not for the party but for the man.
And that is where Air. Hoover is going to stand head
and shoulders above his opponent, regardless of which
party he represents or who his opponent happens to be.
As to this platform, anyone can write a platform these
days adapted to any party. , 'Par -Example:
