in front and the other at the rear.

, The Elks lodge Initiated 11 candi
dates last night and voted favorably
on - 45 applicants for membership.
This makes about 150 candidates to
be Initiated at the big meeting on
Friday, Jane 20th, beginning at 4
p. m. In all since the drive was be
gun In April for new members, 175
candidates were obtained. The. fol

port two carloads of T. N. T., the

"The automobile of S. W. Crofts
has been located at Medford, Ore., ac
cording to Information received here
today," says the Chlco (Calif.) En
terprise. "Constable J.- V. l)onner
has telegraphed a warrant for the
arrest ot the party held for Investi

The thief drove all the way to ro
gon from Chlco. The car was stolon
from Crofts over a .week ago from
