The public schools will be closed
tomorrow thus giving the pupils a
three days vacation. A false rumor
spread about the , city yesterday
afternoon and last night that when
the schools closed this afternoon it
was to be for the year so as to enable
tho pupils to help out in the orchard
labor situation. This rumor was to
tho effect that the school board at a
special meeting Tuesday .night had
so decided. It was absolutely with
out foundation.
