miral Kolchak and Central Deniklne,
according to Router's agency here.
The condition for the recognition

voke and accept the verdict of genu
ine constituent assembly; ' likewise
that the League of Nations covenant
and Its consequences as affecting the
boundaries of the former empire are
accepted. '

there is no confirmation that Nikolai .
Lenlne, Bolshevik premier, has pro-,
posed an armistice to Admiral Kol
chak, head of the 'All-Russian gov
ernment at Omsk, there are indica
tions that the Bolshevik! are anxious
over the fate of Petrograd and Mos
cow. A wireless dispatch states that
the defense committee ot Miscow IB
appealing for women volunteers for 1
military service and admits that non
Bolshevik troops are fighting in the
outskirts of Riga. ' '
According to a dispatch from the
Reuter correspondent there is no
doubt that Petrograd can be taken
but he says its capture would be use
less owing to the allies' inability to
feed the population.
OMSK, Tuesday, May 20. Tho
military situation is regarded here as
satisfactory and each week new units
are being equipped and moved toward
the front. The. Bolshevik! have
massed forces in the Samara sector
in a desperate effort to hold the grain
growing section of the country, with
out which the Bolshevik regime Is
bound to collapse. They won a minor
success east ot Samara, including the
reoccupation of the town of BleleheJ.
This has been offset, however, by tho
gains made by Siberian forces ulong
the Viatka river.
Fighting is going on In the streets
ot Orenburg. At Uralsk, 210 miles
southwest of , Orenburg, Cossack
forces, which have long been carry
ing on an isolated defensive, have
been joined .by Siberian troops and
the government's position has been
greatly strengthened. . "
