long served in France. He had just
passed with high grade the examina
tion for hospital sergeant a short
time before he was taken ill. Dur
ing most of his residence here he was
a student at the O. A. C.

The fact hat last night's Victory
week 'celebration crowd was the lar
gest in Medford since 1910 in the
boom days and that there was not a
single case of rowdyism, disturbance
or. accident of any kind is regarded
by many people with wonder today,

from Camp Lewis to the Presidio at

Medford last night said he never saw
such a large, enthusiastic, better be
haved crowd anywhere in all his
travels in cities much larger than
Medford, and that the window dis
plays would be a credit to any city
many times larger than Medford.
