A lively coach load of 1 goldlors

sheriff," Bhouted the sporty soldiers
in' chorus as they gathered around the
chief and begged him to give their
dice back. Just as the train started
to pull out the chief handed the boys
the dice and received a chorus of
"Thank you sheriff."

- Jackson county students now at
. tending O. A. C, recently held a
meeting for the purpose of organiz
ing a "Greater O. A. C. club." This
club proposes to bring to the atten
tion of high school students and oth
ers the advantages offered at the
Oregon state agricultural college.
Thirty students from JackBon county
are now attending O. A. C, 14 of
whom are from Medford.

A happy couple temporarily separ
ated by the war were reunited In
Medford today in the persons ot
George Bendshaldter of the 35th en
gineers, recently returned from a
year's service overseas, two months
ot which were spent In Content, tier-
many, and his wife who Is principal
ot a grade school In Rosehurg. ' Mr.
Bendshaldter, who was discharged
from service at the Presidio, San
Francisco, last Tuesday, arrived here
this morning, and his wife by agree
ment come from Rosoburg, arriving
at 9:35 a. m. After a couple ot days
la Medford they go- to Rosehurg. He
had been in the service two years.
