Acids in Stomach
Cause Indigestion
Create Gas, Sourness and Palo.
How To Treat
Medical authorities state that near
ly nine-tenths of the cases ot stom
ach troable, indigestion, sourness,
burning, as, bloating, nausea, etc.,
are due to an excess of hydrochloric
acid In the stomach and not as some
believe to a lack of digestive Juices.
The delicate stomach lining is irritat
ed, digestion Is delayed and 'food
sours, causing the disagreeable symp
toms which every stomach sufferer
knows so well:
Artificial digestents are not need
ed in such cases and - may do real
harm.' Try laying aside all' digestive
aids and Instead get from any drug
gist a tew 'ounces of, Bisurated Mag
nesia and take a teaspoonful in a
quarter glass of water right after
eating.' This sweetens the stomach,
prevents the formation of excess acid
and there Is no sourness, gas or pain.
Bisurated- Magnesia- (in- powder or
ta'blet form never liquid: or milk)
is harmless to the stomach, inexpen
sive to take and is the most efficient
form of magnesia for stomach pur
poses. It is used by' thousands of
people whi enjoy their meals with no
more fear of indigestlpn. Adv.

WANT 1 5,000 MEN FOR
' U.S.A1R SERVICE
SAN FKANC1SCO, April 11.--Authorlty
has just boon granted by
the general staff ot tbo army for the
enlistment ot about 15.000 men into
the alt' service. This presents an un
usual opportunity for those who de
sire to become identified with what Is
probably tho most talked ot a ltd fas
cinating branch of military service;
and it is a foregone conclusion that
the quota will soon be filled. Enlist
ment is for ono or three year periods.
The air service has a mechanical
Instruction school in operation at tho
present tlmo and Is about to establish
others. ' " ,
The apparent disparity between
pay ot civilinus.and pay ot enlisted
men In tho army, at tho first glance
seems -to be in favor ot the civilian,
whereas, as a matter of tact, it the
question were analyzed ' closely, the
average pay ot the enlisted man com
pares very favorably with that of the
civilian. '' .
