Tribute to the Process
o!
Our Dairy Farmers
TVc believe the opening of our new creamery in Medford is
a tribute to the city and the dairy farmers who contribute so much ,.
to the progress and success of the community. ! , .
As an indication of how closely creameries parallel the de
velopment and growth of a . community, we quote the following "
from an actual report of the Bureau of Animal Industry, Depart
mont of Agriculture : :
"In the year 1884 a creamery was located in a certain town
not especially noted. for. good butter. It began with;17 patronp
owning 100 cows, and the daily product was 79 pounds. In 1893
it had 116 patrons holding 1,000 cows, and its annual product per
cow was 289 pounds of butter. The product has sold at the highest ,
market price and the cow owners have received a greater net in
come per cow than ever experienced before. Nothing would induce
these patrons, to return to f aim dairying. They received from tho -
factory during" nine years $458,000 in-monthly cash installments. .
The market for their butter is at their doors and they can pay cash
for all their supplies. Farms and farm buildings have been im
proved.'. Dairystocks have been, doubled and.trehfed. The com
munity has taken on -a new inspiration.", ; , ." ,
: The parent concern of the newly opened Medford Creamery
has been established at Independence for 19 years. W bring these .
;' 19 ears.of experiences in successfully .operating alcreamery at In
dependence into this community. We are here to render you a
service. .You are cordially invited to ,drop around and get ac
quainted. ' If wo can't convince you that it's worth while to
bring your cream here and thatve will give you a square deal at
all. times then most assuredly, wo; do not expect to get your
business. . . , . v
, "With the utmost faith in the progress of Medford and vi
. cinity, we are . . - - - v ' : v. , ; !; ';.,
; Yours very cordially, ,.:.-
