to secure sufficient holp for this class

of wet weather, the last weak or two

immediate domand for labor. The

The University of Oregon Glee
club members who so pleased with
their singing at the Page theater last
night,-left on the late afternoon train
today for Grants Pass where they ap
pear in conoert tonight. . Last night's
splendid concert merited a far larger
audience, which was .the smallest to
greet: the club during its' present
spring tour. This is explained by the
fact that.the club's appearance here
was sandwiched in between two such
big theatrical attractions as Kolb &
Dill and Pollyanna.

The board of education recently
passed a resolution authorising the
superintendent of schools to investi
gate tho necessary steps in making
application for the accrediting of tho
hlah school on the Northw.est Asso
ciation of Secondary and Higher
Schools. This has been done and the
necessary blanks have been filled out
and submitted. Shortly after the
Spokane meeting ot the Inland Em
pire Teachers association the list of
accredited high schools of the' North
west association will be published.
It is hoped that the Medford school
may be placed on this list, for it is
only another means ot raising the
standardization ot the high school
since It is necessary that several rigid
conditions be met.
