arrive In the city at 5:20 p. m. today
from its iwo concerts at Klamath
- Falls. A telegram was received this
morning by Vernon Vawter, who was
a singer in the club for four years,
from Paul E. Sangler, manager of
the club, that the club was the best
.in the history of the university and
that it had played to crowded houses
at every concert on this spring trip,
including Cottage Drove, - Oakland
and Klamath Fallal The club sings
at Ashland on Thursday night and
at Grants Pass on Friday night.

tion to resume his work there as hor
ticulturist. 'Mr. McCormlck had been
in the chemical laboratories of an

did not "get across" as he wished.

recently returned from Camp Lewis,
where he was mustered out at the

There will be no change in fares
between Medford and Portland or
Medford and San Francisco, or way
stations, when the edict of the United
States railroad administration pro
viding for a flat increase to three
cents a mile of all passenger rates on
and after April 1st. The thru ture
between San Francisco and Portland,
however, Is increased from $20 to
$22.51. All special and excursion
rates will be discontinued by tho now

John Von Eyth, a commercial
traveler formerly well known thru
this territory was arrested at Los
Angeles on a grand larceny charge
on Feb. 17, and it ho escapes that
charge will have to face another in
connection with the Hqtel Osborn of
Eugene cashing his draft for 185,
purporting to have been signed by
the Curtlss Manufacturing Co. of
Seattle, after which he disappeared.
