pays homage to the eminent services
rendered to the allied cause by the
35th engineers. "A work of reniark-

ated with the victorious fights," he
writes. , "This regiment has really
made come out of the earth, a large
plant which allowed to put In circula
tion nearly 100 cars a day, so that
over 20,000 cars of art sorts and
kinds were, able to carry to. the' sol
diers In action ammunition and sup
plies."

The Medford office of the United
States employment service, in ' the
Nash Hotel building, announces that
it will help all soldiers who have an
honorable discharge from the army to
collect the $60 bonus allowed by the
government to every discharged sol
dier. Superintendent Janes says the
office, will furnish each discharged
soldier, who has not yet collected the
bonus with the necessary blanks, as
sist In filling them out and attend to
all correspondence In connection with
the same. Soldiers are warned by
Mr. Janes to attend to this matter
without; delay. ,

The new National Guard Company
of Medford will be inspected at the
Natatorium at 7:30 o'clock tonight
by Major Drake of the adjutant gen
eral's office, instead of by Captain A.
A. Hall, as previously announced
Major Drake, who has had charge of
organizing the new National Guard
regiment, arrived in the city this
morning. He will inspect the new
Ashland company Thursday night. : '

county farm bureau from the govern
