died Sunday at Lemans, France, from
spinal meningitis. Captain Kuyken
dall was born at Drain, Oregon, May
31, 1SS6. Ilo graduated from the
University of Oregon in 190S. In
1917 tho University of Oregon ambu
lance corps was organized in Eugene
with 125 university and Eugene men

Lewis in tho tall of 1917 and in June.
191S, was sent to France with the
91st division. . -

ford for months before oplisting, ar
rived home from France last week.
He Is chief clerk of the 41st (Sunset)
division, and for a long tlmo during
the war was private secretary of Ma
jor General Liggett. Tad expects to
be discharged from Bervice within
ten days, after which he will leave
for his home in Denver, stopping on
the way at Chicago for a several days
visit' with his brother, Lieutenant
Carl Tengwald.
