S. J. T. Meadows of the Griffin
creek district, killed a fine fat Clnna

- Lieut. Edward Geary of the U. S.
aviation corps, balloon service, has
arrived to look after bis Griffin creek
orchard, having been mustered out
after over a year's service on this
side of the seas. In New York he
met his brother, Lieut. Arthur Geary,
who had just returned from six
months service "overseas.

will resume running on regular time

Funeral services were held this
afternoon at 2 o'clock at Perl's cha
pl over the late E. W. Hutchins who
died at Dunsmuir, Cal., Jan. 7. and
whose body arrived in Medford last
night. Mr. Hutchins was the eon-in
low of J. L. Ahrens of this city. The
funeral services were private.

day morning on suspicion of having
been Implicated In the burglury ot
the depot,: bank and store nt Myrtle
Creek this week, were released yes
terday on the arrival of Special Agent
Rodgers of the Southern Pacific lo
look them over. Mr. Rodgers while
complimenting Chief Timothy on the
arrest as both answered closely the
telegraphic description sent of the
burglars, doclared they wore not the
men wanted. He himself had seen
them in Koseburg the day ot the rob
bery. The young men were released;
