Mabel Lillian Gould, a farmer stu

stitution. , He is now assistant pro
fessor in the. department of electrical
engineering, O. A. C, and the family

Bates was well known among the

graduated with the 1915 high school
class. She later attended O. A. C.
taking up the home economics and
music courses, marrying during, her
husband's senior year and continuing

visiting her daughter at Corvallis.

The Tomlin Box company has let
a contract to Peter Denholf to put in
the concrete foundation for the new
sawmill, and he expects to start the
work at once.. The first unit of the
sawmill will be thirty by one hun
dred feet, and will cut twenty thou
sand feet a day. Mr. Tomlin expects
to buy log3, mostly pine, the open
market, so this will give people who
have only a small amount of timber
opportunity to find ready sale for
their logs. - -
