J. A. WESTERLUND
To the Voters of Medford and Jackson County: '
I am u candidate for representative from Jackson County In the
state legislature, where I have already served two terms as your
representative.
During my former period of service, I worked and voted for our
-Xormal School atshland for Southern Oregon, I have always con
sidered the re-establishment of this much-needed institution of
learning, bigger and better than ever, one of the most important
questions for our legislative delegation to work on, and one which
will always have my undivided support.
I am heartily in favor of nation-wide prohibition, and If elected
I will work and vote for the ratification of the national prohibition
amendment.
I have always been in favor of good tyads for the farmer and for
general traffic. If elected, I will make every effort to secure for
Jackson County Its due share of the state funds devoted to road
building, and especially will I work for a satisfactory adjustment of
the expenditures already made tiy this county on the Pacific Hign
way. 'During the many years of my residence in Jackson County, I have
developed and operated one of the largest horticultural and farming
operations in the stale, wbith I am still conducting. I am a practical
farmer and orehardlst, and I believe that I know the needs of the
people of the county well, and how best to serve them in tho legis
lature, from my former experience there.
If you believe that I deserve the honor of another term In the
legislature as your representative, I am ready and willing to serve
you in that capuclty.
Sincerely yours,
J. A. WESTERLUND.
My number on the ballot Is 40. (Paid Adv.)
