MEDFOnp MAIL TRIBUNE, MEDFORD, ' OREOOX, THURSDAY, OCTOtt RR 17, 1 91 8 PAGE FIVE 10 US 0VER11HE TOP Just one more Bhove by a few patriots and the Medford district will be over the top In the liberty bond campaign, as there Is only some $7000 yet to go. Ashland reached the coveted position today, according to Information brought to the city by E, V. Carter, having exceeded Its quota of $181,672 by five or six hun dred dollars. There was an air of good cheer and optimism about the Medford dis trict headquarters this forenoon over the splendid outlook for Medford go ing over the top soon, perhaps within the next twenty-four hours. C. 11. ICidd and A. L. Hill were calling each other by the front names of Arthur and Corsa, and smiling sweetly all the time, while Secretary Rawles Moore fairly overburdened with good nature, .treated the committee to a sack of peanuts. This noon the Medford district subscriptions totalled $293,000. This quota Is $286,158. The remaining $7000 yet to be raised Is almost in eight, as the subscriptions of the Southern Pacific and Pacific & East ern railroads, and one or more other large corporations are thought to be on the way. A notable feature of yesterday's subscriptions was that the Medford National bank, the only bank of the city which has made a subscription in this campaign, increased Its pre vious subscription of $25,0u0 by $5000, the making $30,000 worth of bonds It has taken in this campaign. Two other $5000 subscriptions re ceived yesterday were those of Reg inald Parsons and the Gold Hay Realty company. The latter's sub scription came thru Colonel Frank Kay, of Jv'ew York. Altogether it was one of the biggest days of the campaign. The following are recent subscrip tions: $50 A. P. Urtrrell l- K. Hayes Paul Alvey ('. L. Furry 11. McQulrk Rebecca li. Mooro II. Nowadays, though, we don't have the troublesome task of gathering the sage and the mussy mixing at home. All drug stores sell the ready-to-use Droduct. Improved by the addition of other Ingredients, called "Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur compound." it is very popular because nobody can discover it has been applied. Simply moisten your comb or a soft brush with It and draw this through your hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning the gray hair disappears, but what de lights the ladles with Wyeth's Sage and Sulphur Compound, Is that, be sides beautifully darkening tne hair after a few applications, it also pro duces that soft lustre and appearance of abundance which Is so attractive. This ready-to-use preparation is a de lightful toilet requisite for those who desire a more youthful appearance. It Is not intended ror tne cure, mitiga tion or prevention of disease.
