With a do or die In the attempt
spirit the Medford district liberty
bond executive committee nnd assis
tants started out the week this morn
ing determined to put tho .district
over the top this week.
Tho work began with only J 1 32,
Oou raised up to late Saturday night,
less than half of the district's quota,
which is $208,158. Several hundred
persons who subscribed In the last
campaign havo yet to subscribe In
this one, and most of those who have
subscribed In the past week have
taken a less amount than In the
previous campaign.
To reach the district's quota every
one must subscribe for an increased
amount over tho lust drive, and
Chairman Kidd nnd the committee
earnestly Implore them to do this, as
the quota is greatly Increased to
what it was before. The committee
also calls attention to the fact that
the next liberty bond campaign will
not come for six months. Theroforo
everyone has a long period rrom now
to pay In full for their subscriptions,
If they cannot pay cash.
For Instance, if one subscribes for
a fifty dollar bond he only has to pay
down $5 cash, 20 per cent or $10 on
Nov. 2, 20 per cent or $10 on Dec.
19, 20 per cent or 10 on Jan. 16,
and 30 per cent or $15 on Jan. 30.
New subscriptions follow:
