Lieutenant Ralph McCurdy, son of
Sir. and Mrs. D. A. McCurdy of Med
ford, were married last night at Trin
ity chapel, the Rev. Hanson reading
the ceremony In the presence of the
rejatlves and a few -friends. Today
Lieutenant and Mrs. McCurdy leave
for 'Madison, Wis., where he Is to be
an army instructor. They will re
side there until he Is ordered else
The church was simply adorned in
flags and palms and on the altar
were white lilies. At home, where a
wedding supper Was served to several
score guests, the- decorations were
white and yellow chrysanthemums.
The bride was attended by Mrs.
Paul Fagan and Miss Elise Bertheau,
with Miss Marie Louise Wlnslow as
bridesmaid. The bride wore the usual
wedding gown of white satin and real
lacs with a tulle veil forming a train
and carried lilies of the valley and
butterfly orchids. The three girls
who accompanied her to the altar all
wore pale-pink georgette and carried
pink roses. P. Lee Menefee was best
man and Lieutenant Claude Leffler
and Clinton McCurdy were the tish
ere. '
Bride a Motor Girl
Lieutenant McCurdy, who Is i
graduate of the University of Indi
ana, was an Insurance man before lie
Joined the Service. His bride hns
been one of the smartest appearing
and most lealous workers In the mo
lor corps of the Red Cross and Is the
first of the corps to marry. She Is
very tall and stunning, just the type
that could wear a severely plain uni
form with becomingness. She made
her dehut a winter or so ago. Her
sister, Miss Elise, Is also engaged, her
fiance being an American army cap
tain now In Franco. Her family has
been to the fore In social and finan
cial matters hero for decades, their
relatives including men and women
who dominated In activities in San
Francisco.
At the bride's table were Mrs. Fa
gan, the Misses .Marie Louis Wlns
low, Elise Bertheau, Betty and Elena
Folger, Alice Claire Smith, Alice
and Lucy Hanchett and Lieutenants
