"WASHINGTON, 9ug. 27. Six
thousand women are now Included In
the personnel or the Red Cross Motor
corps service.
The motor service. In six of the
principal cities of the country that
had previously been Independent in
Its organlatlon, has been amalgamat
ed with the Ked Cross corps.- This
enables the Red Cross M'otor Corps
service to meet the local and Inter
local demands tor transportutioned
on a nationalized basis.
The original khaki uniform of this
service has been discarded and re
placed by a new regulation uniform
of the Red Cross oxford gray.
CommanderB will wear three silver
diamonds embroidered on their
shoulder straps. Captains will wear
two silver diamonds; first lieuten
ants one and second lieutenants a
gilt diamond. Pearl gray tabs on the
collar will indicate stuff officers.
Service stripes will be worn on the
sleeve.
