he had been In a hospital since the

suffered a badly broken leg at the

A motor touring party from Green
wood, Miss., that attracted more than
usual Interest during their day's visit
here, departed from the Hotel Med
ford Ibis morning for California
points. The members of the party,
who travel In two big Mercer touring
curs with two chauffeurs, one colored
and one white, and a colored maid,
are D. S. Jones, a prominent cotton
and corn planter, Mrs. Jones, Miss
M. A. Harding and several young
daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
They loft Mississippi seven week
ago and since have traveled over
4000 miles, ffrst coming norlli to St.
Paul, then over the northern route
to Yellowstone park and from there
went to western Canada which they
toured. They had Intended to visit
Crater Lake hut decided after reach
ing Mcdford to hurry on home so the
children could attend the opening of
