company members, has started for
Prance, having left Portland last
night for the east over the short rai
road route, much to tho regret of the
relatives and friends of the Med ford
and Jackson county soldiers in the
! organization, and the soldiers them
selves who had hoped that tho organ
lzatlon would pass thru Med ford
Telegrams, received In tho city Wed
nosday from, some of tho soldiers led
to the belief thai, the command would
pass thru here this forenoon, and
number of bitterly disappointed rela
tives and friends gathered at the de
pot with packages of goodies for
farewell visit with their loved ones.

tion as auto machanlc's, blacksmiths,
carpenters, electricians, machinists,
plumbers and sheet metal workers.
The call is open to volunteers up
to and Including Aug. C. Registrants
are urged to present themselves fori
Voluntary Induction. Additional par
ticulars regarding this call can be ob
tained at the local board at Jacksonville.
Six men have volunteered under
