WHEAT TO.50
WASHINGTON, July 1. Senators
from wheat producing states today
made another determined effort, to
increase (tie government's minimum
guarantee ofr wheat to $2.50 per
bushel. Discussing the resolution of
Majority Leader Martin proposing
that thu senate yield to house objec
tions to price increase, representa
tives of the wheat jrrowinjr stutes de
clared that even with the new price
increase provided recently by the
food administration's grain corpora
tion to meet increased freight charges
the present guarantee is not suffi
cient to give farmers a fnir profit or
to stimulate production.
A compromise of $2.25 per bushel
wns proposed by Senator Norris of
Nebraska, lie offered a substitute
tor (he Martin resolution provided for
the $2.35 minimum bused on number
2 wheat ut principal interior mar
kets.
That a direct vote might be taken
upon the proposal to fix the price of
wheat at $2.50 a bushel, Senator Xor
ris later withdrew his substitute.
Senators Sterling of South Dakota,
Oronna of North Dakota, Derail of
Idaho, Curtis of Kansas and Kecd
of Missouri opposed the senate re
ceding from its position. Senator
(ironna said Food Administrator
Hoover appearing before the senate
agricultural committee opposed the
fixing of a maximum price for wheat.

Dear Sirs :
For a number of years I suffered from a
most stubborn case of constipation. After
having tried every laxative, etc., without re
sults, I noticed your advertisement and de
cided to give Nujol a trial, which I did with
the very best results possible. I am nsver
bothered with constipation now and feel
much better.
I can truthfully say that I have derived far
more benefits from the use of Nujol than
from all other treatments combined. I heart
ily recommend it to any sufferer from con
