Tim body of Clifford Putnam, who
was drowned in the Columbia near
Astoria last Saturday, lias not yet
been recovered, neither is it known
just how the accident happened. An
aunt living in Portland is at the scene
of the tragedy trying to obtain par

been registered here of late with po
lice authorities as German aliens, a
figure which it is thought includes all

recovered from an attack of measles
