S01SS0N DISTRICT
PARIS, June 7. The bishop of
Solssons who Is now In Parle, today
described the havoc wrought In the
district ot Solssons by the recent at
tack of the Germans. 'He said 100
churches had been razed to the
ground by the Germans and that at
least 100 others bad been pillaged
and partially demolished. The fam
ous cathedral of Soissons suffered
severely.
Tho bishop added that the Germans
knew neither faith nor law; they
knew nothing but war and pillage.
They were methodically stripping and
carrying away everything, he said.
The bishop also asserted' that wom
en, children and old men had been
brutally murdered by German avia
tors, who flew over and with their
machine guns fired upon long lines of
refugees on country roads.

A Dark Horse
We wish to thank our friend, Mr.
Lydlard for the advertisement he has
favored us with. Of course the most
ot the farmers that have been selling
us poultry and eggs In the past three
years have found that our prices
were better but with cream It has
been hard to Impress upon them this
tact. But now that It comes direct
from a farmer It will do much. good.
And we trust that he will again favor
ub with this kind of advertising In
the near future. Our test shows the
amount ot butter fat in the cream
no more, no less and we Invite the
farmers and dairymen to bring us
tholr cream and see It weighed, sam
pled and tested. Let them be the!
Judge.
