moneys received from the federal
government are paid to those coun-
tiort m which the forest reserves arc
situated, on the basis of Ihe receipts
trom tiucli sources from each sepa
rate forest reserve.
Former Distribution Made.
Former distribution of moneys
from such sources were made lis re
quired by the state law of 11)07, which
provided that the money should be
distributed in the proportion that the
forest reserve area in each count v
bore to tlie total forest reserve urea
of the stale. To make the state law
conform to thefederal statute th.; law
of 1!)17 was enacted. This luw also
readjusts prior distribution of mon
eys from such sources and provides
that those counties which have been
"ovorpnid" shall not participate in
any future distribution of moneys
from forest reserves until their an
mini allotments shall equal the sum
ol the overpayments heretofore made
to them under the old state, law.
