Mrs. M. J. Swlnden left this morn
ing for Koseburg where she will nurse
her aunt, .Mrs. William Itussell, 74
years old, who suffered a broken leg
last week. Mr. and Mrs. Itussell are
well known In Medford and the valley
where they resided for many years.
They have been living at the soldiers
home at Roseburg In recent years.

cafo restaurant, left Sunday night for
Goldfleld. Nevada. Mis. Schultz and
daughter left at tho same time for

Schultz will go to Waterloo, where he
will conduct a hotel owned by his
wife's parents. Robert Pulaski, the
well known chef, who formerly had

Several automobiles of Commercial
club members went to Grants Pass
this forenoon to attend the regular
weekly luncheon of the Chamber of
Commerce of that city. The occasion
Is known as Medford day with the
Chamber of Commerce.
In making a turn at the coiner of
West Main and Orange streets Sunday
night an automobile which was driven
by MIsb Lawrence was overturned and
five young people wero thrown out.
Miss Lawrence suffered a cut over the
right eye which was stitched at the
Sacred Heart hospital. Miss Ella
Schultz suffered tt cut on the leg, but
the other occupants. Miss Damon and
Walter and Ernest Relnklng, escaped
Injury. Just as the car was turning
the curve a tiro burst and Miss Law
rence lost control of the car," which
