FANCIERS MEET SATURDAY
The Soutborn Oregon Poultry as
sociation will hold its regular meet
ing on Saturday afternoou, May 20,
at tho public library hall. This or
ganization Is making a strong erfort
to overcome tho burdon imposed un
proritahly last winter In an unusual
preparation to entertain the annual
meeting of tho State Poultry associa
tion In Medford on .'eprescntatlons
thut fulled. The collective debt In
curred hna proved burdensome and
tho local association is closing ar-.
rangomants to clear up the balance
due to various individuals who par
ticipated In the work of holding the
show.
A now constitution nnd by-laws
will ho adopted and much business of
Importance will ho transacted. A
full nttendunco should take part In
the work of that session. Tho meet
ings havo not been attended as they
should havo been, the secretary an
nounces, the work being left to a few
who now Insist ou the manifestation
of a nioro general Interest. Tho asso
ciation has done much good In the
matter of Increasing poultry produc
tion In this county and greatly im
proving tho quality of the hatch and
the .volume of tho egg output. It Is
a splendid Industry for profit, wliero
the farmer produces much of his own
feed, and It ought to be productive of
tons of thousands of dollars annually,
even to tho tew who have lately con
cluded to specialize In puro blood
chickens.
If the members of I he association
aro really In earnest about their In
terest, in their own business, they
should attend the lmH'ttng Saturday
afternoon. War exactions niaUe the
poultry Industry peculiarly attractive,
this season.

Lemons Whiten and
Beautify the Skin!
Make Cheap Lotion
rrhe juice of two fresh lemons
strained into a bottle containing three
ounces of orchard white makes a
whole quarter pint of the most re
markable lemon, skin heautifier at
about tho cost one must pay for a
small jar of the ordinary cold creams.
Care should Ibo taken to strain the
lemon juice through a fine cloth so no
lemon pulp gets In, then this lotion
will keep fresh for months. Every
woman knows that lomon juice is
used to bleach and remove such blem
ishes as freckles, sallowness und tan
and is the ideal skin softener, smooth
encr and heautifier.
Just try it! Make up a quarter pint
of this sweetly fragrant lemon lotion
and massage It daily into the face,
neck, arms and hands. It should nat
urally help to whiten, soften, freshen
and bring out the hidden roses and
beauty of any skin. It is wonderful
for rough, red hands.
Your druggist will sell three ounces
of orchard whito at little cost, and
any grocer will supply the lemons.
