TUESDAY, MAY '13, 1017 pxcie FIVE GOVERNOR HERE TO BOOM ROAD BONDING SCHEME Governor James Withyeombc ar rived in Modford Tuesday morning fairly bubbling over with pood belilth and spirits to attend the Tri-Stnte flood Roads convention, lie was met at the train by a delegation of well known citizens who escorted him to the Holland hold which will be his headquarters during his stay in the city. The governor was driven about the orchard districts of the valley during the forenoon, nfter which he, accom panied by a number of Modford men, went by automobile to Ashland where the party were the guests of the Com mercial club of that city at n lunch con this noon. In the party were Mnvor C. E. Gates, W. II. Gore, F. W. iff.rs, C. M. Thomas, It. W. Huhl, 0. C. Hoggs, J. A. Wostorlund; Geo. Collins, Geo. 10. Boos mid S. S. Smith. This evening from 0 to 8 o'clock at the Medford hotel an informal re ception will be held by the governor. The general public is invited to at tend. Prior to the reception Gov ernor Withycombo will be the guest of of honor at a small informal dinner at the Mod ford hotel. Wednesday forenoon the governor will take iinrt in the big patriotic parade, and nt J :H0 o'clock in tho af ternoon will deliver an address of welcome at the good roads convention opening.
