Jones, died ut the home of her daughter, Miss Louise T. Jones, at Jacksonville, Tuesday morning at 7:30 o'clock of dropsy. She was aged 79 years, 7 months and 23 days, and was one of the pioneer women of southern Oregon. Horn In Troy, N. Y., she came by boat from iXew York to San Francisco In 1S56, and from thero to Crescent City, Cal., nnd then continued to Jacksonville. She was married in 1S"j8 to Stonghton P. Jones. Two children survive. They are .Mrs. Arthur J. Davles of St. Paul, Minn., and Miss Louise T. Jones of Jacksonville. The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Presbyterian church at Jacksonville. Tho burial will be in the Jacksonville cemetery.
