Charles Edmondson and John
Swanson went up to the Allen place
Tuesday and brought Allen's cattle
through Wednesday, taking them to
the ranch near Derby. They had run
out of feed at the upper place. The
snow was so deep they had a hard
time getting the cattle through.
Dennie Edmondson spent Tuesday
night In Ilutte Falls on his way home
from Derby. !
3trs. Rupert Gleason went out to
Medford to visit her parents, Mr. and
.Mrs. Win. Sears.
W. W. Parker went up to the Al
len place Ihursday to move Hen Ed-
mondson's family out to town. They
came down Friday evening.
Charles Patton came down from
the ranch Friday evening.
The high school on Friday evening
gave their third program, the last of
the series they have been giving this
term. The first program, Miss Fred
enharg's side received two votes and
.Mr. .Parker's one; second, Mr. Park
cr won every vote and Ihc third Miss
FrcdenlnOK received two and Mr.
Parker one. Miss I-"redcnburg's side
will be required to give a basket sup
per to Mr. Parker's side. They ex
pect to give it April 1st.
The regular semi-monthly meeting
of the Ladies' Improvement Club was
held at Mrs. Sundry's last Friday. An
interesting Washington program was
given under the direction of Mrs.
Hliidnioro and refreshments served by
Mrs. Merrlmam.

was unable to keep his appointment
to preach here last Sunday evening.
Rev. Gloeckner of Grants Pass

taking it up home to feed his stock.
It seemed rather a slow v.ny of get

miles from here, but the ronds are so

any other way with the teams. It is
the old Free Ferry road for about
1 1 miles, and it is so bud every win
ter that no one who is familiar with
it will attempt to haul a load over it

case was put off for some time.
George Frey came out with Mike Iltin
ley in a buggy and the whole bunch
of them were here for dinner. Mrs.
Hag:-dale, son and Mrs. Howies went
on up to Lake creek on the P. & K.

here for dinner Friday on his way up

now. This morniog (Saturday) then
was two car-, of hay went up to
Derby, one for John Allen and the
other for Jeff Brophy, and this morning-
two men were in town handling
hay for sale.
Miss Ivec Middlebusher of Trail
came mil on the car Friday morning
and took the Eagle Point-Persist j
stage for her home. She had been to
Jacksonville to visit her sister, Mrs.
