ogist, and others are expected to be
here. The object of the meeting is to
create more of an interest in the poul
try industry uud to consolidate the
interests so as to he able to do bus
iness on a larger scale, so as to be
able to ship the product in carload
lots and thus minimize the cost of
freight. The plan is to induce those
who have oivaaids to arrange so us
to have from 100 to jo dozen hens on
a place, hire an expert fo suiierinteiid
the work and care of the hens, so as
to bring the production of eggs to a
higher plane nnd thus increase the
revenues and utilize a lot of land that
i. otherwise wasted.
There were twenty-sis cream cans
put off the P. 4. K. train here Tues
day on the trip from Medford to Butte
Palis, That gives some idea of what
is doing in that line in this section.

ter now. A trained nurse, is staying
with her.

at John Grieves for tho night.

day Thursday with Pcelors and Blan
chards. Irs. Krskine spent that
night at Mrs. Dawson's and the next
day visited the Flounce Tloek school. I
The W. M. B. met at Mrs. Violet
Diteworth's Saturday afternoon and
proceeded to tack a comfort. Mrs.
Blanchard was a guest of the hostess
that day. Airs. Ditsworth served
dainty refreshments of pink ico cream
and angel food cake. There were
10 ladles present besides tho chil
dren. There was a very pleasant party
Friday night at O. W. Klncald's. Tho
old fashioned fun making games were
played. Mrs. Carl Michardson and
Miss Uelva (Walker made candy,
which was said to he delicious, and
some ono popped corn and Howard
popped tho question, but was reject
ed because ot his thatch.

Pearl Peyton went homo with the
N'yt young folks Friday night and
