Appeal to Reason
'Ask any of tin' great army of Postum users what influenced, them to
try this beverage, and the reply nine times out of ten will be that they
were convinced the caffeine and tannin in tea and coffee were harmful to
health.
Some imagine it is hard to give up coffee and tea. Hut it isn't, with
the delightful aroma and flavor of Postum at hand. This flavor somewhat
resembles that of a high-grade Java coffee, but there is no coffee in Pos
tum only the nourishing goodness of wheat, skilfully processed with a
small per cent of wholesome molasses.
Postum comes in two forms: Postum Cereal, which has to be boiled;
Instant Postum solubh made in the cup, instantly. Some prefer one.
some the other. Made right, they are alike delicious, and the cost per cup
is about the same. There's better health, comfort and efficiency in

PLAN IN EFFECT
Since the passage of the Hanson
plan the city recorder and treasurer
have been kept busy answering in
quiries ns to when the plan will go
into effect, when the fifteen-day
period followed by a penalty for
noil-payment, will lie up, and a num
ber of other questions.
The mayor's proclamation an
nouncing the adoption of the plan
will bo made some time before Sat
urday. The canvass of the vote will
also be made some time before Sat
urday. Following these preliniinnnes, the
council will pass next Tuesday night
an ordinance putting the plan into ef
fect. However, immediate action ill
collection of assessments will not hv
possible.
The Hanson plan includes the con
solidation of the many funds in the
city's present system into a few com
pact accounts. This consolidation
must be mnde, transferred to new
books and a number of routine book
keeping changes mndo beforo the
city offices will be ready to receive
pavnient. .
Each property owner will receive
due notice before any penalty will be
put upon bis property.
Tho inquiries received indicate a
general desire on the part of those
ow in assessments to make their pay
ments, several offering to pay up
their paving debt in full.

backache, pains here and there, rueu

which will throw out and completely
eradicate this urlo acid from the sys

consequently you need no longer fear

dependent on an accumulation of una
