The residence property of J. 11,
Ware, on Liberty street has been sold
to Paul Held of Crook county, one of
the substantial ranchers in the vicin
ity of Prinevillc. The new purchaser
is already in possession. His family
name was bestowed upon the town of
Held in that section of central Ore
c,on. The sale was made by the
Hodgson Realty Co.
In line with many previous records,

ford were New Year's visitors with

P. W. Heche nnd daughter, Mrs.
Head, and son. Glenn, were calling on
Table Hock friends last Sunday. Mr.
Heche was looking for a break on the
telephone line, which previous to this
date had been out ot commission for
several days.
A large portion of the orchard on
the Seiibrook farm will be taken out
in the near future.

The old year was watched out anil
the now year ushered in by the young

Our school is again in session af

is now boarding with Mrs. Meltride,

A large steel lank with a capacity

erected at the Modoc orchard and will
used for storing crude oil for
smudging purposes.

sessments, he has made arrangements
with Mr. Cameron at the store to re
ceipt for these payments and will
consider it an accommodation if de
linquent members will attend to this
matter.

ing the year al least one new iudus
try was launched that bids fair t
create a great deal more work in the
district and a guaranteed market fur
the products of the soil. AVe might
mention further that with the coming
of this industry conies the little brown
men, which many of us Ionth lo see
come into our district, which has
heretofore been totally free from tliis
ra ce.
