picious anniversary of their marriage
and left a substantial token of their

Tehama rountvs fine new bridge
spanning the Sand slough over the
Sacramento river near Ited Bluff, has
been dedicated to Henry Kaufman
by the supervisors of that county. The
utructure is one of the notable im
provements of northern California,
and Its construction is due to Kauf
man, who is favorably known clear
up to and even beyond the Oregon
border as a leading exponent of the
pood roads movement. The new
bridge Is a monument to his efforts.

vice-president.
Thursday last Miss Millie Pearl
Hodges and L. O. Walker were quiet
ly married at Jacksonville. They re
turned to Gold Hill that afternoon,
but left the next morning for Eagle
Point, where Mr. Walker will be in
charge of one of the large ranches in
that vicinity. Gold Hill will miss
both Mr. and Mrs. Walker, as they
were well known and liked here.
Andy llooton and Lee Imngen left
for San Francisco for n visit through
the holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hippey went to
Medford for the day Thursday,
where they were, the guests of rela
tives. ;
Miss Bessie Stuhblcficld departed
Thursday for Portland, where she
will spend the holidays with rela
tives. She expected to also stop at
Salem for a short visit.
Mrs. End Witt Thursday, went to
Sissoti to see her mother, Mrs. Xaucy
Andrews. She will probably return
the first of next week,

plant at Kennctt, Cal., stopped in

Valley Inst week of the different men
of this section, for the purpose- of

she was a resident of Olean, New
York. She was n life long member
