and refunding measure that is up be
fore the people at this time, pending
the unbiased expression of their opin
ion at the polls on tbe next January
election held in said city, and in or
der that the real intent and meaning
of the proposed initiative measure
might be openly and publicly dis
cussed as well as other matters of
vital importance in our municipal
government before an audience com
posed of all the people, I, on behalf
of the petitioners, request that ynu
meet me in nu open discussion of
these matters which arc of vilnl im
portance to tile taxpayers, at a pub
lic melting to be held lit any hall in
the city of Medford (which will ac
commodate the public) at your con
venience. I will pay my half of the
