Mrs. Ja cobs will have charge of a question box at each meeting where the moth ers are requested to bring their ques tions. The circle will give a Thanks giving social Friday evening, Novem ber 2i, nt tile school building. There will be a .splendid program and re freshments. A small charge will be made, the money to be used for buy ing trees and shrubs for the school grounds. An in teresting business session was follow ed by a pleasing program. Much amusement was had in taking u slraw vote for the election of presi dent. After stupendous results the la dies adjourned to the social hall, where delicious refreshments were served. The l.ovalty circle will have barge of the church decorations for the month of November. ' The Medfonl Parent-Teacher Council will meet in the public library next Tuesday, October 31, at 4:25 p. ni. The council consists of the executive committees of all the Par ent-Teacher circles, one delegate from each circle, all of the school prin ciples and fjfc city superintendent of schools. Business of importance and of interest to all the circles will be considered nnd it is hoped that there may he a large attendance. All pres idents are requested to bring or send lists of executive committee members to this meeting. Flemmlng; musical trio by Nolo Idndley, Leon Lawton, and Ralph Balcuin, Following the program sides were chosen nnd Impromptu athletic con tests were held In the basement. which were much enjoyed by those present. The church was tastefully deco rated with appropriate Halloween ef fects and accompaniments, jack-o-lan- terns forming a consplclous and pleas ing part. Tentative plans were discussed by the young people to have Medford in cluded on a Lyceum circuit. The bu reau under consideration presents an especially good course this season and one which will be of much instructive interest to the people of the com munity should the young people de cide to secure it. - Tho feasibility of a Y. She was bora in Jackson county, where she has continuously made her home. Her parents were among the pioneer settlers of southern Oregon, having come here in 1853. . She has always resided on the farm nnd owns one of the best of the many valuable irrigated farms in the productive Applegate valley. The groom is pro prietor of the Crane Grocery company of Central Point, where he has resid ed for nearly two years, having been employed for some time, before en gaging in the mercantile business as editor of the Central Point Herald. Ho Is an old newspaper man, having for twenty-five years been engaged In journalism in Nebraska and Iowa. In "Douglas county, Nebraska, he owned for five years a syndicate of five pa pers. He also owned newspapers in Audubon county, Iowa, and is widely known in the Missouri valley country. He is one of the most progressive bus iness men of Central Point, where he is highly esteemed. The newly mar ried couple will divide their home for tho present between the store and farm, devoting their energies to the -improvement of both.
