''My system of projecting railroads
is simple. I first spend tt consider

self that a railroad would be profit -Iiblc.
Then I spend anotlivr year in

best possible route. For instance, in
central Oregon I surveyed 2'iW) miles
of route to secure lot) miles of road.
When this is nceomplishcil, 1 ascer

personal expense. I am then ready
to submit my project lo investors."

about the beauties of this park In the

mentioned as the. "Kauions" I.lthla

It Is true that the natural mineral

not less Importance 13 the Ideal op

The people of Ashland realize this
situation mid hardly a day goes by
during the summer, hut what from
one to a dozen families havo their
picnic lunches there.
The former residents of other
states have organized themselves in
associations for the purpose of havin
outings in the park and the various
lodges are doing likewise. Tim fol
