The governor sluled that Itodoricl;
Marleay of Portland, owner of
large fishing and packing Interests
on tho river, had become Involved in
personal encounter recently at Wed-
derburn with independent gill net
fishermen, who had beaten and
choked him. He stated that there
bad been several encounters between
Marleay employes and the Indepen
dent fishermen. Two special state
agents are now on their way lo Wed
deburu to utlempt to prevent further
trouble.
