The programme for the afternoon

metic by Hubert and Jeff llradshaw.
This waa enjoyed so thoroughly by
both contestants aud isltors that it
was lepeated later. The' next number
was a reading. "The Llttlo Jted Hen"
by Jeff llradshaw. The question,

After the debate the discussion In

school superintendent. After his ad
dress the company went out doors
and watched tho pillow fights, paier
rights, apple eating contests and
other games.

The pupils were anxious to coii

society through the summer and vot

much Interest. Several of them are
planning to take prises at the state
fair on tewing, cooking aud corn
raising. i
During the fail term Mr. Pitman of
tho. stale normal school visited Llb
orty school with Supervisor Chase
and the pupils cooked a dinner al
si hool. They have had a cold frame
near the school house and rulsed a
variety of vegetables.
In the winter they gave an enter
taluiueut and box supper. With the
money so raised they bought a bas
ket ball, a map of the United States,
paid the freight on a set of books
from the aiato library, bought an en
cyclopedia and a set of reading hookn
selected by the Individual pupils.
