$50,000,000 have been stolen from
Cook county by la.x dodgers, Maclay
Hoyne, state's attorney today Insti
tuted In the county court proceedings
which he said eventually will Include
15,000 persons.
Tlie brief hearing today revealed
about 50 alleged instances of tax
dodging nnd a system to bo used In
tho assessor's offlco whereby n red

assessment has been cancelled by an
assessor.
Charles Kructckoff, assistant chief
clerk of tho board of assessors, testi
fied tho late A. H. Yecder, was as
sessed for 5000 worth of personal

amount a year ago. The testimony

of the inventory filed in the probate
court with Mr. Yccder's will thowng
