pared with 84 last yenr. Three
srhoolhousen were erected, and there

ries for male teachers, but tho sala
ries for females remained stationary.
Klamath county's school population
last year was 2(100, but this year it
sllmpcd to 2547, and tho number of
eighth grade diplomas from 139 to
79. Two schoolhouscs were erected,
and thero was quite an Increaso In
teachers' salaries,
Tho total srhool population In Jack
son county this year Is CS06. Last
year Itwa G84R, making a decrease
of 42. Last year 300 eighth grade
