did for us. Sho was not on the program as a
reader, but ono morning while tbe Chicago Gleo
Club was with us. I asked her to fill In ten min
utes. Sho pleased tho pooplo so well that the Olee
Club and tho Lotus Olee Club of Now York both
asked her to take twenty minutes In their erenlnc
programs. She always received encores for all of
her work, and on Dryan day the crowd called for
her to speak wn0 they were waiting for Mr. Bryan
to como. She Is the only lady reader that wo have
ever had thcro that has pleased tho people. As to
her work In physical culture, she started In with
about thirty or forty tho first morning. The crowds
grow larger each day, until at her last lecturo she
had between five and six hundred, and they camo
to me and asked on Saturday that I have her speak
at 5 o'clock In the evening'. Sho had already
spoken to a large crowd In the mornln?. After a
two-hour and tcn-ralnuto lecture In tho afternoon,
with only twenty minutes Intermission, I limply
announced from tho platform that Mlsc Lowe would
sp?k, and In five minutes the auditorium wan
filled. Anybody that can draw a crowd like that
to a health lecture I should say was making good."

unsurpassed. For fifteen consecutive seasons It has
been constantly before tho public. Tbo Club has
filled over 3.600 concert engagements In tho United
States and Cnnada, and has a ropertolro probably
more cxtcnslvo and varied than that of any similar
organization. Tho Trombone Quartet, first Intro
ducts: to tho Lycoum by tho Cblcugo Glee Club ami
used only by them, Is ono of the most artistic and
pleasing novelties ever presented. Mr. Dixon's
character Impersonations are great: his "Hoosler"
Is an original sketch illustrated with poems from
Janiei Whltcomb Riley.
