Wo hear n rent don I or trtlk about
Mr. MiiuMenN lm-diiow nb'illly nnd
what lie will bt fr the county in
tlie wny of economy. If Uu Mnil

of tho committee tlmt wanled tbo

ors; nNii Mr. Mndden. ns ohnmniin
of tbnt committee, n fliimoring for
tbu uppointmriit of another nnthol
oiist. It 1- mtlier difficult for The
to underMmid Mr. Madden'- nmhi
tion, unless it ho tlmt be thinks there
oiifiht to be a eentndirotiihi of tbo
county court by hnviuj; it three
member reside about n mile npnit,
ns will bo the cn-o in tbo cn-o of his
election. This would cut tbo entire
northern end of the county out or
representation In the court nd would
he a lixwt unfair usurpation of the
representation of the county.
We people in the northern end ir
the county hnvc Known Joe Smith for
n number of years. He is not only
successful buiness limn, but t n
hustler. He does not travel nround
in n bigh-iMiwer automobile, but ho
is always on the job nnd has the ad
vantage when he pets there that he
knows bis lnlnes and attends
strictly to it. He isn't eligible to a
membership in the University club
nnd I dmi'l suppose he over-'Haw one
of those pills called n jjolf ball in hi
life, but when it comes down to
building roads in this valley, .loo can
hit the ball every time and make it
go the farthest fur the least expense,
and tbo nmds in his district show
that he has been scoring some pretty
pood lieks.
Xow, Mr. IMitor, I haven't n thins
in the world ngnuM Mr. Madden. I
believe he is u mighty line jwntlenmn
and a good citizen, and the kind we
want here, hut in my opinion he has
' too many other iron in the fire to
pte the job the strict attention that
Joe hits been nixing it. llc-dde-, we
of this end of the county are entitled
to our representation and it would
be mighty dam hoggish of your sec
tion of the county to grab off every
thing, nnd more tbnn that, Joe
Smith's; strict attention to business
entitles him to another term.
Yours for n square deal,
